Lion Jerry is a retired school teacher and Lion Lennie is a massage therapist. The couple moved to Morgan Hill in 2008.
Immediate Past President, Leonard Geraci, was recognized for his continued leadership of the Morgan Hill Lions Club at a recent meeting. Immediate Past District Governor, Marlene Duffin, presented Lion Leonard with a Helen Keller pin to recognize his many years holding the position of club President.
Lions from all over the district stuffed hundreds and hundreds of backpacks for needy school children. The Morgan Hill Lions is providing 40 packs for local students. Click here see photos from the backpack assembly line.
The annual Pancake Breakfast is confirmed for Sunday May 31, 2009 from 8 am to noon, at the Centennial Recreation Center, 171 W. Edmundson Dr., Morgan Hill. Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for seniors over 60 and children under 12.
Unlike all of our past Pancake Breakfasts, the City of Morgan Hill will no longer allow the Lions to post any signage for the event on public or personal property. Our signs have historically been our most successful method of getting information out to the community of upcoming events. Lions are asked to get the word out about the event by word-of-mouth, email, or by flyer.
For tickets and further information, contact the event chairman, Ron Tomasello (408) 779-6178.
Once again Morgan Hill Lions will be helping setup the Mushroom Mardi Gras being held in downtown Morgan Hill throughout Memorial Day Weekend. Workers are needed for all days to assist with the event setup and tear down.
For information about the event, contact Lion Frank Portera (FRANK10V11[at]aol[dot]com).
